British Club of Charlotte – Liability Waiver and Release
As a condition of renewing my membership with the British Club of Charlotte (the "Club"), I acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding participation in Club events, including but not limited to the annual Guy Fawkes Night Party (the “Event”), which includes potentially hazardous activities such as a bonfire and fireworks: Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in any event organized by the British Club of Charlotte involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of personal injury, property damage, or other harm arising from fire, fireworks, uneven ground, weather conditions, and other outdoor hazards. I voluntarily choose to participate in the Event and assume all risks associated with my attendance and participation. Waiver and Release of Liability: I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, waive, and hold harmless: The Board of Directors of the British Club of Charlotte, The British Club of Charlotte, its members, officers, agents, and volunteers, And the hosts of the Event, Mr. & Mrs. J. Essex, from any and all liability for claims, demands, losses, or damages of any kind, including but not limited to injury, illness, death, or property damage, arising out of or in connection with my attendance at or participation in the Event. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above-mentioned parties from any claims, including legal fees, arising from the Event. Acknowledgment of Understanding: I have read this waiver of liability, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am agreeing to this waiver freely and voluntarily as a condition of my membership renewal.
